Introduction

The Athletic Program at Beijing SMIC Private School is on the rise. We believe that sports help mature students through challenging circumstances and team environments. Lessons learned playing as a team cannot always be learned in the classroom, but these lessons are essential to a successful leader. With a coaching staff specialized in each sport provided, student-athletes learn to cooperate with others, respect their opponents, and win with integrity. We integrate each of our school values (Honor, Excellence, Community, & Joy) within the sporting framework to help students thrive both inside and outside of the classroom. The values and relationships that are build throughout a student’s career in athletics cannot be found in other programs and activities. Students learn to value, uplift, and encourage their peers while understanding that the overall success of the program is dependent on each individual’s performance and commitment. Through athletics at SMIC, we continue to mold the successful leaders of the future.
