About Beijing SMIC Private School
Our History
Beijing SMIC Private School is located in southeast Beijing, in the Yizhuang BDA, Beijing’s largest hi-tech economic development zone. Founded in 2005 to serve families employed by Semiconductor Manufacturing International Company (SMIC), it now enrolls many students from outside the company as well.
At Beijing SMIC, over 300 dedicated teachers including 50 experienced expatriate educators guide more than 2,500 students across both English and Chinese tracks. The SMIC English Track offers a rigorous, U.S.-based international curriculum that nurtures academic excellence, global citizenship, and personal growth. Whether in the classroom, on the field, or through a wide range of extracurricular opportunities, our students are supported by passionate educators and an active school community that inspire them to achieve with excellence, integrity, and joy.

Meal Plan Variations
Various buffet lines, 14, 16, and 20 RMB per meal ($2 – $3 USD). All lines offer Chinese dishes, soup, and fresh fruit. Upper lines include pizza, pasta, and other Western menu items.

Average Class Size
Our students enjoy the necessary attention from teachers with smaller class sizes. The teacher:student ratio is currently 1:6 which only improves with our skill and elective courses.
